Ciesco hosts major panel event on in-house agency models

Ciesco has hosted a major panel event on “future predictions of in-house agency models” at The Ivy, London.

Over 40 senior executives from the industry gathered to attend a co-hosted breakfast at the Ivy in West Street, London to hear views, insights and considerations from an expert panel on a very topical subject – In-House Agency Models – and the challenges, opportunities and far reaching outcomes that it is creating in the industry today.

Ciesco partnered with the law firm Cripps Pemberton Greenish and its dedicated advertising and media sector team, and were expertly supported by a 4-person panel of senior industry personnel that included:

  • Karen Boswell – Chief Experience Officer EMEA, VMLY&R
  • Ajoy Roy-Chowdhury – Agency Lead EMEA, Facebook
  • Bobi Carley – Head of Media, ISBA
  • Matt Girling – Head of Europe Tech, Ebiquity

The session initially commenced with Ciesco presenting a 2019 Quarter 1 M&A overview and update of global activity in digital, media, marketing and technology – before Colin Wheeler, Partner at Ciesco, chairing the panel, set a series of soul-searching questions and issues relating to this hot industry topic. Amongst others, issues around specifically Brands’ concerns relating to the need for speed, cost and efficiency – the falling revenue effect on the ad agencies – the question of talent movement and retention – and service, capability and delivery dynamics. The panel were also asked to look into their crystal ball to predict future and new trends relating to in-house agency set ups and challenges.

With additional questions from the floor – expertly answered with differing opinions and perspectives – the event created an intriguing and engaging dynamic – and much food for thought for all those who attended.
